Tiny Fruits Basket request. . . but it's kinda urgent too. . .

Okay, so here's the story. Me and my sis are watching Fruits Basket, and we get to the final half of the final episode and we realize that none of this material is in the sixth volume. So the thought occurred to my sister that, perhaps, they took the material mainly from teh sixth and seventh volumes, but then they used the final chapter of the mange as the last half of the last episode. Soo-- could someone (perhaps our Furuba sage?) answer this question for me. The part of the story where Tohru goes to visit Akito, that's not the final chapter of the manga or anything, is it?

I appreciate all replies. We've got it paused, and I'm going to sit here, very sad, infront of my computer until I get help from one of my wonderful member/friends. Thanks a million guys! *Osaka explodes*
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

TokyoPop said in the back of one of the manga volumes (probably 5 or 6, I don't remember) that the stuff in the anime was taken from volumes 1-8, so I'm guessing that if that scene exists any where, then it's gonna be in 7 or 8. I'm not sure cuz they haven't been released yet.

The final chapter of the manga? Actually, I'm almost certain that the manga series is still going in Japan, there's was a big uproar about a plot twist in a recently released chapter a couple months ago, and I haven't heard anything about it ending since. I think it just got past 100 chapters in least 15 volumes. So it can't be the last chapter of the manga.

The anime, unfortunately, is over :shady:
Hah, my friends have been whining about the anime being too short ever since I got them hooked on it.

For all future comments on this thread:

I, the great and powerful Furuba sage, containing TEN times as much Fruits Basket wisdom as you mere mortals, have already answered her question via PM.

It does not exist in the manga, it was exclusive to the anime, and the manga IS still being released in Japan. The next chapter is scheduled to come out on February 5.

Great Furuba Sage, I cower in the shadow of your wisdom.

Out of curiousity, master, have you hear if there's any ending date announced for the manga yet?
