Yeah Volt, I guess it doesn't matter as long as number one is happy.

Honestly I wouldn't purchase a thing from amazon.com, they vary vary vary rarley have the best price.

or sometimes even better, go to http://www.discountanimedvd.com that's a good place to shop. ^_^ So glad I saw this topic because I was about to buy that perfect Bebop collection from Amazon myself. *whew* that was close.

And you just know that there's something messed up with Amazon when U see an Escaflowne poster on there that's on sale for $15 when U see the original price crossed out that's $10. LOL

Can't say I would recommend Discountanimedvd.com Since I believe they do indeed sell bootlegs sometimes, and I don't support bootlegs by No means.

When they do Sell Offical versions, I think they are just as over priced as amazon.com. Like I said Deepdiscountdvd.com is best when it comes to buying anime... or overstock.com

Yes, discountanimedvd deals mostly in bootlegs. I bought a set from them once before I understood anything about HK dvds.

Luckily for me, I only bought one box set. My cousin spent like $200 there.

I made a mistake and accidently bought a bootleg Cowboy Bebop set for $20. It's actually very good quality so I cant complain with that, however I plan on re-buying REAL versions of Outlaw Star and Evangelion. The bootlegs I accidnrtly bought are below average quality (the evangelion bootleg screen always shake around).

I find that most so-called "imports" are boots, and as people are growing more vigilant about it, they're getting more devious. I know when I got my Battle Royale II disc, I took the picture that was posted on the website, enlarged it through photoshop to read the text as well as I could (low res picture). From what I could make out, the company was called "HK Toyz", which AFAICT, was a legit company. So I bought the disc. When it arrived, it turned out to be called "HK Toyz (Taiwan)" (Taiwan being in very small print, so I couldn't see it in the picture). In other words a boot.

Personally, I find that when I want to buy anime from a US distributor, Best Buy seems to be $5 to 10 cheaper than the standard price. I haven't tried ordering from them online though.
