My guess for the delay of new Kenshin episodes...
Well, ya see, after Shishio is defeated, the next guy Kenshin has to face off with is Shougo Amaksa. Thing is, Shougo is trying to create a paradise for Christian cause they're being killed by the government. However, his plan for this involves for the followers to fight against the government and Kenshin doesn't want the people to be killed for accomplishing Shougo's plan and doesn't want any trouble uprising so he tries to stop Shougo. The religion aspect associated with these episodes are reason enough to believe that CN won't air the new episodes. They have a pokicy against religion in their network. Boo CN!!!

I guess that could be one factor. I, for one am glad they did not air any new ones yet.

From what I have heard, that any new Kenshin episodes will not see the light of day on CN, because of this.
We will have to wait and see. But there has not been one word out of CN that they will do any new episodes of Kenshin.
