Funimation Channel Ends Digital Los Angeles Broadcast

Postby Roy Mustang » Mon Jun 18, 2007 7:07 pm

From Animenewsnetwork.com

FUNimation Channel has confirmed that its one-year agreement with the digital broadcaster KSCI in California's Los Angeles area ended on June 14 with no plans for renewal. Funimation notes that Verizon FiOS TV is available in parts of the Los Angeles area with the channel. WRNN still carries the channel in New York City, New York 24 hours a day, and several stations nationwide carry it for two hours each weekday. KHCV had previously stopped airing the channel in Seattle, Washington.

Thats pretty depressing. But what do I care (Not that I don't care really), I don't even get FUNimation over here in NC. Geez though if I did if have and then the company says they aren't going to broadcast it anymore I guess Id be pretty sad. I wonder if any anime network will ever be available over here?!

Seattle was the closest to us and that's across the Cascades on the other side of the state so it didn't effect me any.
