Gatomon's case was special though.If you follow her storyline close enough you discover that her egg was some how seperated from the eggs of the other Digimon
Chosen,which means that when they landed together on File Isle she ended up
somewhere that was nightmare land for her.
It was her hard luck that she met Devidemimon first and he was the one who led her to Myotismon.
The fact that she and Wizardmon plotted together to protect the 8th Child shows that she was not really Evil at heart.
