Ok, found this amv among some other things, gotta say the character smiles remind me of DBZ, anyone know if this is a anime video, OVA or series. Or perhaps just a normal amv out of a freemade animation.

That's the opening from the PS1 release. The SNES classic was released on the PS1 with no graphic changes or anything. Same game alltogether besides loading times.

However, the one gem we benefit from the PS1 release are the anime cutscenes. Some were added to the game to connect the plot between Chrono Trigger and Cross.

By the way, Akira Toriyama that does the art for the Dragon Ball franchise and flat out created the series did the artwork for Chrono Trigger as well as the Dragon Quest series.

He did the artwork for the SNES Chrono Trigger and returned once more for the PS1 rerelease.

Chrono Trigger came in a package with FFIV on the PS1 called "Final Fantasy Chronicles".

The characters remind you of DBZ because Akira Toriyama did the character designs. xD Anyways, I know that there is a CT OVA, but it's only about 10 minutes, and it focuses on a Nu and some other minor character.

Thank you for restating what I said to make me look less cool. ;)

Seriosuly, I didn't watch that whole thing when I made my first post. It's actually clips from most of the anime cutscenes scattered all over the place.

More like stating it before you edited your post. :P

Nope. I edited my post a minute before you posted yours. That just means I was done editing right after you entered, so you couldn't have seen it.

But still, my point rests.

The tangent needs to stop. Her point stands as well.

I should go on YouTube and watch those anime cutscenes (because I'm sure they're all on there one way or another). Though I liked Chrono Trigger, I didn't like it enough to purchase and replay it for the PS2.

XD Yeah, Akira Toriyama did the anime cut scenes for Chrono Trigger, though I've only seen them online. (only played the SNES version). Marle looks and awful lot like Bulma in her Arabian outfit during the DB series.

Huh. "One of you will shortly perish." I kept wondering where that phrase was from...

Are you saying you figured it out now or still wondering? Because it's what Janus says if you talk to him in Zeal.

To a certain degree, all of Toriyama's women look the same (pretty much falling into the Bulma and ChiChi archetypes) - see Dragon Quest VIII for an example. What I was more struck by was how much Ayla looked like Bulma. During the wedding scene I actually thought she looked more like ChiChi.
