CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Hey everyone,

As most of you have probably already figured out, the server CAA has been running on for several years has not be working very well lately. I have spent the last few years trying to get things working well, but in the end our ISP did not give me the tools I need to make things work. As a result, I have moved the server to a new hosting provider half-way across the country - to one that gives us much better support and should make things quite a bit more zippy.

An unfortunate side-effect of this move is that most users will have experienced some downtime from about Saturday afternoon until around Sunday, Monday or possibly even a little later.

Sorry about this, but I hope everyone has noticed a pick-up in speed since the move.

Well, strangely enough, it seems I can connect just fine on my phone when I'm running off cell service, but when I try it on wi-fi neither my phone or computer can connect to CAA. Help, anyone?

P.S. When I can connect, it's definitely running faster. Good work, Mith!

It's possible one of the routers between your phone and the network has a DNS entry that isn't updating yet (or has something cached, etc). Give it a few more days and it should clear up.

Update: Just FYI, there was a bit of up and down today while I finalized some settings on the machine. Sorry if you were having intermittent trouble!

Well, I'm now back to seeing CAA in all it's glory on my computer. Don't know what did it in the end, but it looks like troubles on my end are over. And now that I'm back in full, I can tell the site is running amazingly better. Great job, Mith. *Gives cookie*

Is there a reason the site loads up on Firefox but fails to do so on Google Chrome?

Chrome is a bad browser. Working as intended.

It's working for me on Chrome. You might have something cached on your end or something. Can you try clearing your cache/history stuff and trying again. It's possible a reboot might be needed, too.

I'm using Chrome and the site is working normally.

If I put christiananime.net/index, it works just fine. If I don't add "index" at the end, it doesn't load.

Make sure you're using the www (e.g., www.christiananime.net) - without that it may have issues. I can't think of any other reason why one would work and not the other. To be clear, clearing the cache and rebooting didn't solve that issue?

That was probably the issue. Not inserting "www".
