I've noticed that a lot of times when I put the face O_O in a post, especially in the Goof Off forum, it automatically changes to O_o once I submit the post. Tech issue?

Edit: Indeed it did change. I can't say I had noticed, in that I do not use such emoticons. I might suggest you use 0_0 while we see if there is an issue. However, no reason for this to occur immediately leaps to mind in any way.

Maybe it's the caps block.

Actually, Angel got it right: there's a "caps block" feature where TITLES IN ALL CAPS get turned into Titles with all caps (note the change in capitalization). This has some unexpected side effects with abbreviations. The easy way to defeat it is not to use all caps, like FLCL (Furi Kuri) or FBI and CIA so that it doesn't feel the need to tweak the title.

I think this is a configurable option if it's really bugging people, but alas, I don't have the keys to the control room (Someone(tm) will have to make this change in the administrative control panel).
