One of the biggest problems we have running here at CAA is threads being posted in the wrong places. Not only does it make our job harder, but it's also confusing for members and many times members that would be interested in a thread end up missing it because it was in the wrong place.
We have been soft and nice on this issue for a long time; almost daily we move threads and occasionally post a "moved to the ___ forum" message. But the forums are not that hard to figure out categorically (especially since we have so many), and we shouldn't need to come clean up behind you when this happens.
So from now on, we're going to just start deleting threads that were in the wrong places. I deleted 2 from general today--one that should have been in the In the Spotlight forum and one that should have been either in the computing or the Links forums.
I know this seems harsh but we've let this issue slide for so long, it's time to start putting our feet down. Any further comments, questions, and complaints can be sent to my PM inbox.
