What's your favorite non-manga comic series? mine is Avengers Arena by Dennis Hopeless.

Mine is X-men by Brian Wood(stars the female X-men, Storm, Psylocke, Rachel Grey, Monet(From Generation X and X-factor) Karima, and Jubilee(now a vampire) with her adopted baby Shogo. Used to be Rogue and Kitty Pryde in that book but they were taken to other books.

that's my favorite current series, there are too many to list in the past.

Anything by Jason Aaron he wrote Wolverine, Wolverine and the X-men, Thor God of Thunder(current), and Ghost Rider

Paul Cornell is a great writer, enjoyed his Captain Britain MI13 and his current Wolverine

Favorite DC title is Batman by Scott Synder in the new 52.

Nextwave is my favorite for humor, closely followed by the Green Arrow Quiver miniseries for humor and overall writing.

I'll have to think a little more about the rest of the books I like.

I will say my most anticipated comic right now is the new Ms. Marvel.
