I am completely and totally at a loss for what to do next. XD And whatever's happening now...is incredibly confusing, since I've only been skimming. Any chance of a recap?

Hrm, well the kids are basically finishing up dinner and some are leaving already. Lux headed back to her room, only to meet her mother Marisha.

Marisha is also a member of the staff and is a nurse that takes care of the technology that is used on the more dangerous kids. Lux has a little circular thing on the back of her neck that limits the amount of shadow she can manipulate.

Lux has a weekly check up with her mother, Marisha, to check on her little limiter thing. And I asked silver_wolf if I could have Marisha request that Tello send down all the kids to get check ups, and she said it was okay.
So now Lux's mother dragged her all the way back to the dinning room area and asked Tello to send the kids down. And you can see how that goes in the thread right now. XD;

Okay since your last post Shao where Zair asked Claude who she was…

[SIZE="4"]Lux, Salem, and Vlad:[/SIZE] went to the dinning room when they finally got back down to the first floor from exploring. Lux ended up asking Vlad, by writing on a napkin since he’s language deaf, what his power was and why he was locked in the room they found him in. Basically, he can rearrange his atoms to transform into anything or merge with objects. Then Vlad told Lux further about why he was locked in the room:

Vlad “As for why I was locked in there, they never told me. They may have tried but they couldn't tell that I don't understand them. A woman that looks a lot like you lux put these things on me and then took them off about a year ago. I never got a good look at her and I never really knew what those things she put on me where but they did let me master my power."

Lux is shocked by this, and they have an entire conversation about the limiters. Vlad claim they slowly heighten or increase the wearers power even as they limit them. He also claims that since Lux has had her limiter on for so long that she must be extremely powerful.

Lux: 'Those things were limiters. They limit our powers so the staff or the government or whatever can control us.' She stopped writing to think something out. 'But I've never heard of them being taken off or helping anyone master their powers.' This deeply bothered Lux, she had hers her entire life and nothing like that had ever happen. With a shake of the head she finished what she was saying. 'That woman was my mother, Marisha. I've had a limiter since as long as I can remember.'

Vlad: If you've had it all your life then your true power must be the most powerful in the universe. By what I saw earlier you've gained great control over your power, without those 'limiters' you could destroy this house and the next town over with out so much as even trying. Trust me, they were put on you for a reason, and the time will come when you can help me get every one out of here."

Lux: 'That's impossible, the limiters aren't meant to do that. I've even read and gone over some of the blueprints and notes my mom has made of them. Plus I've never been able to control more than the mass of my own body.' She stared down at her words sadly for a moment before continuing. 'And the last time I checked, my mom told me this limiter wasn't meant to come off. It's entwined all throughout my spine.'

Vlad:"I see", vlad wrote, "but your mother lied, I found the power to merge with objects after my 'limiters' were taken off. As for it being in your spine, there is something I can do about that."

Lux: ‘While I don’t doubt she would lie to me, you most likely just found more to your powers after the limiters were taken off because they were no longer limited. Not that they had actually caused the growth or development. But never mind, what do you mean you can do something about it being in my spine?’

Vlad: "Yes, they are meant to limit your powers, but in a way that slowly you learn to master them. The only way I gained my true power was that I had trained with the limiters. Think of them as weights, but instead of gaining muscle you gain control over the powers in small ounces instead of great power all at once. You know if you use a big weight at first you can't lift it, but if you train with smaller weights then go for the big weight it's a piece of cake. As for your limiter I can try to merge with it and see if I can disconnect some places and you may understand what I'm talking about when you taste some of your true capabilities."

Lux: ‘Okay just slow down, Maybe, my mom made yours special, though I don’t know why she’d bother. Though I am curious now, I’ll look into it. But frankly, I’m not too excited about the idea of you messing with that thing. You might be able to mess around with it, but it wasn’t meant to come out. Not to mention you don’t know anything about my specific limiter.’

Since your last post Shao where Zair asked Claude who she was…

[SIZE="4"]Claude, Zair, and Annelai:[/SIZE] have been escorted to Marisha’s doctor’s office and are currently in the waiting area as Tello is talking to Marisha about the kids in a another room. Meanwhile, Claude answer’s Zair question as to who she is.

Claude: "H-hi, I'm Claude." She suddenly felt like she was attending an AA session so she straightened and gestured at the direction the two adults had left in a way that she hoped seemed cool and collected. "That lady's really got something evil up her sleeve," she tried to say authoritatively. Her voice cracked, she remembered the sight of the gleeful creature, dancing about Marisha’s shoulder as the kids were rounded up and brought into the office. The way it jolted as if struck by lightning and how shrieked silently as she screamed the name ‘Lux’, was embedded in her corneas. The mal-intention of the man accompanying her was coiled firmly about his neck and arm, tense with the situation. But what was it? "What exactly is going on here?..."

Annelai: "Your worst nightmare...â€

Since your last post Shao where Zair asked Claude who she was…

[SIZE="4"]Marisha and Tello:[/SIZE] have been talking alone in Marisha’s main office. Tello told the kids he would try to talk to her about the limiters. Tello first told her to put on a fake for Lai, and probably to leave Zair’s alone. But the Vincent (the Head) would be able to tell the difference so Marisha will just set each limiter to level two. It will still be a painful experience for the first couple of days after the installation but it will subside as their bodies adapt.

But something else was addressed further in their conversation; Marisha, Tello, and some of the other staff members have tried to get out before. (Obviously failed) But now, the kid’s might being able to break the Head’s hold on them all.

Tello: " Don't you remember when we tryed to get out? I mean we failed but these kids...they're smart kids I think they can break Vincent's hold on us...They can release us all! Think about it! We could be free again! Free Marisha! Think about it!"

Marisha: "And I have thought about it Tello. Every single day of my life here in this disgusting place. They might be smart, but they'd need so much more than that," She slammed a tool down onto a nearby table. "The right power Tello. Not even yours and mine combined worked on him!"
"To even have a chance all of them would have to master theirs, would have to have their powers fully developed. ...But thankfully I've already thought of that."
“Annelai will have a limiter, but only placed on level two, and Zair will have his turned up to level two also. They'll survive, Lux certainly has."

Tello: "I won't let you Marisha. Listen to yourself! You've lost your mind in this place! Just look at what you've done to your daughter! OUR daughter! She has no idea who I am! You've tortured her beyond any nessesity!"

Marisha: "Any of that is hardly my fault! Just in case you forgot, you literally aren't allowed to be involved with Lux, much less give me insight on how to raise her! If you don't like that you can take it up with Vincent some more. If not, stop complaining!"
But that's not the issue here. Either way, I have to give Annelai a real limiter. Tello you know he'd be able to tell. Plus...the limiters aren't exactly just what Vincent told me to make."

Tello: "And what is that Maisha?"

Marisha: "The limiters do limit powers, but not in the way you might expect, The limiters limit powers in a way that forces them to grow or develop quickly, in order to get past that limitation. Of course there are some fine tuning and other things I've thrown in." A little detail Marisha decided to leave out was that Lux had been the main patient for these advancements.

"It's true, the higher the level the more limited the powers are and more strain it puts on the body. But that can be prevented with a gradual change of the levels. I'm not as inhumane as you might think Tello."

Tello: "Marisha......can I ask you something? Why do you enjoy hurting these kids? They aren't lab rats..."

Marisha: Where did that come from? I can't help that the limiters hurt them. They have to in fact, and I think you can guess why. Besides, with so many kids having the limiters increasing their abilities like this, it's so much more likely for them to over come the Head."
"Lux...her power is almost as developed as Vincent's would be, and she's only seventeen. Tello, with out the limiter...as of now she could take down this entire building without even having to see the shadows she's manipulating."

Tello: "Marisha did you forget? Vincent absorbs our darkness that's why we can leave that's why he has us in his power......Even if Lux is that powerful....she won't have a chance to even use it...unless they........unless......."

Marisha: "Unless what Tello? That's exactly the problem, Lux would be the overwhelming power but they need the right ability to render him relatively powerless. But the fact is if they have that ability, they're already at his mercy. I...can't think of anything else. I haven't told you this for a very good reason Tello, you don't like my methods. But now that I have...I would appreciate any 'intel."

Tello then explains that Vincent has a weakness, but that’s all he can say before a mark that Vincent put on him starts to burn. Marisha then becomes infuriated when she starts feeling pity for Tello, and only gives him a cold remark.

Marisha: "Of course it does,” (She’s talking about the mark burning Tello) Marisha stated, forcing it to sound terribly cold. She crossed her arms and looked away from him. “You were right, they’ll have to discover it themselves.”


Tello: Tello nodded. She had place anouther arrow through his heart. She just doesn't care anymore.............she just ......just doesn't love me....... He sighed and looked at her. "Do you have to be such a shrew all of the time?" He asked. "What happened to the woman I had fallen in love with?" the one I still.....love......

Marisha snaps then, and strikes Tello hard across the face, nails and all;
"Oh was that what it was?" Her eye's narrowed to slits after rolling in their sockets. "Well after being alone in a solitary room for about five months into pregnancy-with a cuff link sucking away all possible left over stregnth-this shrew realized what she really wanted!" Her face twisted into a disturbing, selfish smile before she continued. "Just what did you think would happen?"

She then throws Tello some bandages and dismisses him to go look for Lux. He complies, deeply hurt, and deeply sad. Marisha really doesn’t love him anymore while he still does.

Extra info: Annelai has been on her own for as long as she can remember, and doesn't take to others well. She can be rather cold and standoffish at times. She grew up as a pick pocket, until she found herself in the house for "troubled" teens and amongst others who share similar gifts... or curses.

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Power: Ability to see ill intentions. They are normally in the forms of strange creatures, sometimes ambiguous ones. The shape and size depends on said ill intention. She’s learned how to persuade them to do other things, but she usually tries to make them more productive. Usually, this makes them good intentions, and to her eyes, they vanish.

Description: Shortish, and dirty blond. Hair is cut short since she’s somewhat tomboyish, further accentuated by her clothes, often sporting a shirt advertising some video-game or other, baggy jeans, etc. Eye color a normal blue, though sometimes in the light they carry a greenish iridescent hue, the only sign as to her strange abilities.

Build of the body: Skinny, and rather useless.

Extra info: Transferred over after an unfortunate incident involving a seemingly innocent bad intention, resulting in rather disastrous events. She’d been rather safe until recently, and it is rather a shock to her that she’s being ‘put away’. Obviously, this would lead to a rather negative attitude towards the place.

Power: He can change his atoms to shapeshift or merge with objects

Hair color/Discription: Pure Black/Long, goes down past his eyes to where you can't really see them

History: Vlad has been kept hidden in the Mansion's Basement because his powers killed his mother at his birth. He was kept in a cell until he was ten, and then put in a locked
room till now because he can fully control his powers. Not even Tello knew he was there.

Personality: Smart but always wonders about everything for he has never experienced it before. He will start rubbing peoples arms or touching and smelling there hair to see his new world.

Extra Info:Vlad can not talk or understand anything spoken. He talks though writing and will only answer back if you write something to him. Because of being in a cell in his youth he sits in seats like a bird (Think of L from Death Note). He is a genuis but all he knows came from the books he read (which he had in the locked room, His favorite book is a Bible that he always has with him)and he quote everything for memory. He has never felt love nor knows what it means besides a textbook discirption. He once had limters on his neck, wrists, and ankles but they were removed when he mastered his powers.

Gender: male

Age: 15

Power: His powers generally only show when his emotions become too much for him to handle. However he can call on them at will. When he becomes overly upset wings sprout from his back. The feathers appear as molten shadow. When further provoked he retreats inside of a ball of shadow lightening. He can be seen (roughly put) floating inside of this orb, curled into a fetal position. If provocation continues, he will stand within the orb and the orb will shoot beams of darkness toward anyone who gets too close.

Eye color: Emerald Green

Hair color/description: A curtain of silver that hangs just past his shoulders.

Build of the body: Lean with very slight muscles.

Extra info: Lucious is a rather withdrawn figure. He has been so to the point of being called reclusive. He tends to drees in loose flowing garments. The colour of these range from pale or dark greens to browns and blacks.

Age: 17.5

Power: Can literally touch and grab shadows like their matter, and can pull, mold, float, etc, those shadows. She can also make said shades hard, liquid-y, soft, gas-like etc...

Eye color: Pale yellow

Hair color/description: Bright white, never appears to be any other color. Her hair is straight, the parting at her forehead varies, and reaches all the way down to her behind.

Build of body: Thin, but not like a stick. Tall, 5’9

Backstory: Marisha’s daughter, and isn’t too fond of that fact.

Lux has always been at the house and she is surprisingly…sane, competent, and mature (in some areas) for being stuck there all her life.

Extra Info: Commonly wears skirts of any color or length and a long, white, long-sleeved, shirt. She is also friends with C-friend’s character Nielaro. To Lux, her friendship with Niel would be the only thing she likes about life in the house. So far, he is the only one she can really have literal and real fun with.

Gender: Female

Age: Unknown

Eye color: Black

Hair color/discription: Shoulder length white hair. It's clean cut but literally has no style. XD She usually wears a uniform that is a cross between a nurse's and a scientist's.

Build of the body: Long and lanky, she almost seems too thin and bony.

Height: 5'11

Personality: Manipulative, devious, a tendency to be violent/hot headed, and basically a bit ‘off her rocker’.

Power: She can suck out someone's spirit, soul, or what have you. So she can affectively 'kill' someone/thing in an instant...or slowly if she wants.
However, said spirit she sucks out inhabits her in some way. When she was younger she probably struggled against having the spirit of the person she killed taking her over. Though now she has learned to let it inhabit her at the same time while remaining in control. She can choose to let the victim go, (which would really kill them then) or return her/him/it to the body.

There’s also another part of her power that has yet to be revealed. XP!

Extra info: She is a staff member in the house, and is Lux's mother. She is under the medical area and is considered a nurse. She manages the medical lists of each children's power, and handles/installs the technology that has been developed to limit some of the children's more dangerous powers.
Oh and she and Tello do not have a good…relationship.

I've been out of this RPG forEVER (stressin' the EVER there), but now I'd like to re-enter. So can someone please give me a recap? The last thing I remember was Marisha having all of the children undergo tests. Tal and Natalie (my two characters) were tested. After that... I don't know what's happened.
