Joey said "So, do you think we could take the dog in?"
OOC: Josh's mother is allergic to dogs. Let's work that in.

Karen smirked at Josh, "You know I could!" Then shelooked back at Joey, "Why are you asking me? Since when was I mom? And what about Josh here? Does he want the dog?"

[rocklobster]

OOC: um, AdriTan, I said JOSH's mother had allergies, not Karen's. Try that again.

[Wolfsong]

"No way!" Josh said. "My mom's got allergies. BIG problems! I bring a dog near her at fifty feet, she'll ground me for years!"
He hefted the ball, then said, "Pick up the bat, Karen! Lets see if you can!"

[AdriTan]

"That's too bad. Alright!" Karen picked up the bat and gave Josh her scary determined look.

"Hmm, you think mom would let us?" Joey asked.

[AdriTan]

"Do you think I can read Mom's mind? Ask her yourself, silly child! Alright Josh, show me what you got!" Karen was really hoping her mom said yes. How exciting would it be to have a dog?

[Wolfsong]

Josh grinned; he hoped Joey's mom said 'yes'. But his pitch.
Slowly, he flexed his arms, checked his position, wound up his arm, aimed, and FIRED! It sailed through the air towards Karen.
He really hoped she wouldn't hit it.

[AdriTan]

But she did of course. Karen had been playing much longer than Josh. She grew up with baseball and when she was in high school she was on their softball team. "You got a ways to go before you can mess with me, but I'll admit that that was a great pitch!"

[Wolfsong]

He grimaced as the ball went flying, then shrugged and laughed. "I'll keep working on it," he promised. "I'll strike you out someday."

Karen laughed, "Sure you will, shorty!"

At that moment, a blue-green car pulled in the Jordan family's driveway. It was their mother's car.
She walked in and locked her car and walked inside.

[Wolfsong]

Josh saw the car pulling up. "Hey, there's your mom," he said. "You wanna ask her now?"

[AdriTan]

Karen looked at Joey, "You go ahead and ask, we'll keep an eye on the dog."
She looked over at the dog and started petting it again. She really wanted to have him around, too.

[Wolfsong]

Josh bent down, patting Top Dog. Too bad his mom had allergies. He really would have liked a dog. Ugh. maybe Joey'd be luckier.

At that moment, Joey's mom saw the dog. "Well, where did you come from, little fella?"
The dog just barked happily and tried the big, soulful eyes trick.

OCC shoot i kind of forgot about this one I'm so sorry!!

Karen laughed, "Smart dog. We all know mom can't resist puppy eyes!" She rubbed behind his ears.

Joey and Karen's mom arrived and she saw the dog.
"Hey, what's this? Where'd he come from?" she asked.

OCC she already saw and said something similar.... Haha oh well.

Karen looked at her brother, "Where did you find him again?"

OOC: Sorry
"He was just outside. Hope you don't mind, but I gave him some food." Joey said.
"Not at all. I would've done the same. He certainly looks like he's been underfed.
The dog ran up to their mother and gave her the sad dog look.
"Oh, all right." she said. "I can't resist that. Grew up around dogs like you all my life." She picked up the beagle and hugged it, "you are a pretty dog. yes you are." she said. "Kate, call my sister. We're going to her office. Let's see if this dog has anything we should know about."
OOC: I'll play the aunt. Her name's Sarah Reynolds.

OCC Kate? I assume you mean Karen haha. And I thought the dog was a mutt?

Karen called her up, "Hey, Aunt Sarah? This is Karen. Listen we have this stray dog here, and we wanted to keep him, but we want to know if he's got anything so we are heading over to your office."
