Newbie-ness-ism...

Postby Danni0524 » Sat Sep 20, 2003 7:29 pm

Hiya all, my name is Danni (Could you have guessed? ) I'm a Junior in High School, and I'm more into the Sci-Fi/Action group that most others things...My music tastes are mellow, really sticking in the John Williams soundtrack area in general, I play a variety of the flute like instruments and actively participate in several choirs.
I was referred to this site by one of my college freinds and I can say that I fell in love with it already...but I fear my knowledge of anime isn't quite as extensive as it could be...any reccomendations? :P
And btw...i got a comment on my little flag already...please take no offense at it. "Heritage, not hate" as they say...and if you have a problem, please take it up with me directly... :thumb:

:comp: hehe.. i like that..and i sympathize...

Hi there! Nice to have you in the CAA! Just kick off your shoes, have yourself a comfy chair, and share all the snacks you bring!

Insofar as recommendations, that's a big question for me... I think I've seen over 250 anime titles! So in the Sci-Fi category, I'd guess a good start would be Trigun... I have a LOT more, but I'll stick to one recommendation, lest the 'flood' gets out of-hand.

i dun wanna be, me anymore. (chorus)

they were throwing at his home,
two glass houses
twenty stones,
fourteen yellow,
six all blue,
could it be worse?
quite doubtful.

(chorus)

two steps forward,
three steps back,
without warning heart attack,
he fell asleep in the snow,
never woke up,
died alone.

(chorus)

please don't dress in black
when you're at his wake
don't go there to mourn
but to celebrate (x2)

(chorus-till end)" -Type O Negative

Kangei!

There are a lot of good Sci-Fi animes out there. You could watch Crest of the Stars, or Silent Mobius. I do not know if they qualify Tokyo Babylon as a Sci-Fi but it is really good.
