Tofu: A Legend In His Own Mind

Name: Greg(ory)
DoB: 7/13/85
PoB: Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan

It all started back in 1985, the year of A Flock of Seagulls (I couldn't get away). Born in a nameless Naval Hospital, Tofu began his life as a humble Air Force Brat. At 5 months old, he spent his first Christmas in Florida.
As time went on, Tofu lived in Arizona, New York, Massachusets, Texas, Florida, and currently New Jersey. And wherever he went, Tofu was homeschooled by his mother. I wasn't one of those crazy people, though.

While always interested in his Japanese heritage (1/4 Ooo), Tofu 'got into' Anime around 1999, with the rush of the Dragon Ball Z craze. The internet became his domain, from his San Antonio, Texas home, and no one was safe. Through his experiences, Tofu met those who would become his greatest friends, both on and offline; completely tossing aside the fear of axe-murderers lurking on Anime Messageboards.

He trudged through a rather lingering break-up of a two-year relationship last year, and early this year. Dependancy and never seeing it coming were key factors in him taking over six months to get over it -_- Currently his ex is off and married, and he's essentially through with it... though memories die hard. Despite that, he's taken a second chance offered him, and begun the courtship of a long-time, good friend of his. She happens to be in Army Tech School at the moment, but since when did the details ever stop him?

Tofu enjoys creative writing, and is currently working on a novel roughly based on his internet community, titled "The Return to Sleep", which takes place in a rather sprawling world that he's always all-too-eager to talk about. Alongside that, Tofu enjoys writing poetry, and lots of it. He's currently teaching himself guitar after having to move away from his Berklee-graduate instructor in Florida, and is just finishing up his first semester towards an AA in Music.

Tofu is generally a dreamer one moment, and a rational thinker the next, with a completely reality-clueless faith that God's got it in the bag. He can often, however, become frustrated and discouraged if he experiences too much difficulty in a given task.

Oh, and he doesn't plan on growing up any time soon ~_^

Does Tofu recognize shooraijin's avatar, perchance? Tofu-san wa omoshiroi hanashi o motte imasu ne.

We think we should be talking in the first person plural all the time instead of the third person, we know? Yes, we does, my precious.
