Well Hello
I thought I would join in to find other people involved in anime and manga.
A little about myself. I am a person approaching the half century mark of age and I was around for the first time anime made it to American TV, Astro Boy followed by Marine Boy and a few others after that.
Just before I got out high school I became a member of the local volunteer fire dept and rescue squad and have stayed a member for 31 years involved in many county and state organizations and committees.
Being a firefighter/EMT I am on the staff of Neko Con has a medical staffer.
My interest in anime and manga started with the first video I bought of Tenchi Muyo followed by many others. Then attending Otakon after I found info about it(Before it took over downtown Baltimore. Then I became one of the first, oldest and longest active members of C-SMAC (College of Southern Maryland Anime Club) where I have made many friends and attended at least 4 Cons a year and attend club activities as much as possible, mostly club meetings and get to gethers.
I have a job has a county government employee working has a public works supply clerk.
One thing I was wondering if any of this group are members of clubs around the Wash, D.C. area and how your clubs are doing or do you need a club to join.
Well that is it for now.
