Hello out there! My name is SnowLeopard and I'm thrilled to be here. I have been checking out this site for about three months and have finally decided to join. I don't watch much t.v., but I love manga. My favorites are One Piece, Prince of Tennis and I'm also a huge Megatokyo fan. I am also an obsessive reader and enjoy listening to eclectic music.

Have you heard of Gundam Wing? If so, do you like it? I've never read any of the manga that you listed, care to list a few more that you've read?

There's not very much else to tell. I love swords and swordsmanship and I enjoy reading old boring books like Shakespere plays and Beowulf. Quick question, has anybody ever heard of the Star Wars mangas by Hisako Tamaki? They are published by Dark Horse Comics and are very neat. The only problem with them is that they are flipped so I don't get to read backwards like I like to do. I am glad to be among Christians on a forum. From what I've seen you guys really do act different around here! I am honered to be here. In answer to somebody's question I only discovered manga about three months ago and have never read Gundam wing. I would appreciate it if you guys would recomend your favs to me.

How did you get into swords?

In the book corner, there is a Shakespeare thread. just in case you're interested. and Beowulf is great-not boring.

If you like swordsmanship, I suggest Rurouni Kenshin as a potential title. When is your birthday?

Hey!!! Your into Megatokyo too!! Cool. Anyway, I'd be glad to recommend some manga to you. What genre's do you like? Yeah, the Rurouni Kenshin manga and the anime are definetly great recommends if you like swordmanship!!!

Someone asked how I got into swords. Forgive me if i wax poetic on this.

Almost every other weapon devised by man has some other practical use. You can use a bow to get food. You can use an ax to make a house. A sword has no practical use except in war. I find this concept abhorrently beautiful. In the Bible the sword is a metaphore for authority, power and justice. I guess it is the whole concept of the thing that got me.
