I consider this to be one of the best comedies out right now. It does serious an funny at the same time. I just gotta say anything with NPH wins in my book. So anyone watch this show or is it just me?

Watching the older episodes on cable/satellite.
I agree NPH is hilarious.

I do love How I Met Your Mother. XD It's probably my favorite comedy on television right now, though I haven't had the chance to keep up with Parks & Rec or Chuck this semester. Unfortunately this season has had a couple of misses, but for the most part it's been pretty promising. XD I'm excited to see where it goes!

One day, a lightning bolt struck a rainbow and Neil Patrick Harris was born.
I've loved every episode I've seen of this show so far. Robin is my favorite and Lily and Marshall are the cutest.

This is currently the only TV show I keep up with that's currently airing in the US and I will probably follow it until it ends. Great show, great charachters and for the most part outstanding writing.

How I met your mother is the best comedy since scrubs.

I enjoy the series, although the last season as well as the current one have increasingly felt weaker for me. I'm definitely not at the point of completely dropping it though. I really wish more progress would be made with the actual meeting of the mother part though, because Ted is getting severely left behind as a character.

Yeah, I thought last season was alright, but this one is seriously lacking.
I still don't get why they let Barney and Robin get together and then had them break up like two episodes later. You do not know how badly that irritates me because I actually did want them to be together. I don't mind his new girlfriend, Nora I think it is, but I still think it was stupid they had Barney be like in love with Robin for a whole seaon, date her for like a month and then them break up.
Meanwhile I think Lily and Marshall are my favorites, but I like all the characters. xD

Given that the concept of the show is the journey one takes to meet your significant other and how much a person evolves during their life, I wouldn't write that off as something bad yet. Have you seen the most recent episode Topaz?

The one about hurricane Irene, yes? xD

Yes. Did you see the end? If you didn't, you need to see the end of the episode.

No I missed the ending. Maybe I can find it on Hulu or something. I was a bit distracted sadly.

Thank you Mech, you're so awesome! I ended up just watching most of it over again. That ending! Ouch though, I feel sorry for Nora and Kevin now. I can't make up my mind can I?

Hmmm, I think I have an episode or 2 recorded I haven't seen yet (reruns I think from last season). As soon as I'm done browsing CAA I know what I'm doing

I hope it gets on Hulu Japan someday. Hulu JUST came to Japan, so its catalogue is probably going to grow slowly. I only got to about halfway through season 4 before coming here. I love that show.

Hulu doesn't have it yet i don't think. Netflix got it recently, seasons 1-6 on instant

Man this season is just dedicated to slamming Robin and Barney.
I really liked the temporary change in narrator in this most recent episode, it made the whole situation feel much more private, and really made the final points stick home.

Yeah...I'm honestly not sure I like what they are doing with Barney and Robin now. I've left the past few episodes feeling annoyed.

I think it was necessary. If they were still the same people as before, Barney wouldn't be getting married. Robin wouldn't nearly be the person we get the impression she is from comments about her made to the kids either, and really each person has had a really bad time that has changed their perspective on their life (Marshall particularly).
Also focusing on Ted, Lily and Marshall would get pretty old, since they've really had their time to play their part on the show, and I have a feeling that all this (especially Barney getting married) is REALLY important to him finding the mother.

http://how-i-met-your-mother.wikia.com/wiki/Season_7_NewsWe have some basic news on the rest of the season. I had thought, because the last episode of this season centered around Barney's wedding and all, and that it was an HOUR LONG, that we'd see the mother that Ted met there, but the more I look at it, the more it seems they're going to try to drag it out even more.
"Like butter over too much bread"
Maybe I'll be wrong this time, and right previously... Because, honestly, despite what the title of the show is, it doesn't really make sense for the entire show to only lead up to how Ted MET the mother if it doesn't talk about them falling in love and at least hint at their marriage after that, which is what Season 8 should be about... If it really ends with "And that was your mother" on the last episode of season 8, I'll be really disappointed.
