The series originated as Kamen Rider Ryuki, which ran in Japan from 2002 to 2003. The regular series of the English-language version, which is being refilmed and produced in the United States, launched on January 3 of this year.
D3Publisher just released a Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight video game for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS consoles on November 17.
The only other U.S. adaptation of the Kamen Rider series was Saban's Masked Rider, which was loosely based on the Kamen Rider BLACK RX series. It aired in 1995 but was also canceled after only one season.
