Believe it or not, someone thinks another he-man movie is a good idea. But at least this looks more like the cartoon.

Don't worry about it. This is a fake trailer and just a fan made one.

A new He-Man movie directed by John Woo was reportedly being developed, but despite many rumors circulating around the Internet regarding the film's production status and casting, the project was never officially green-lit. The film rights to He-Man have reportedly since reverted back to Mattel.

Wikipedia wrote:As recently as fall of 2008, there was a new feature film in development entitled Grayskull: Masters of the Universe, produced by Joel Silver and written by Justin Marks. The film would reportedly employ visual effects to a large degree, as was done with 300. An alleged script has been leaked. Recently, the studio announced that Kung Fu Panda director John Stevenson will take on directing duties, probably with a new screenplay

In all the years that I keep up with the Sci Fi Wire news, I never seen any news of a new He-Man movie other then what Wikipedia has posted. Even then, they reported it as a rumor and nothing more.

I figured about a quarter of the way through that it was definitely fake because the Photoshop effects were pretty glaring.

That and I was pretty sure that the scene of He-Man was from Conan, and I vaguely recognize a lot of the other scenes from other movies.

I guess I should've figured it was fake when I heard the "I have the power!" from the TV show.
I just hope they NEVER make another movie. One was bad enough.

The property truly doesn't lend it itself freely to cinema.

I was actually hoping they'd make a new He-man movie. I hated the old one and watching the cartoon now, it is pretty bad but it could still make a kiss-butt movie if the right director came along.

I liked the 2002(?) cartoon version of He-Man well enough... it was a lot better than the old cartoon by a long shot. I did love the cartoon when I was little though.

If you enjoyed this one, there is also a pretty cool Thundercats trailer out there as well... I'd pull it up, but I'm at work.
