Nine films?! Dang.
Also...a Captain America movie? I don't see that being very well-received. He seems to be pretty unpopular these days.

Captain America? Yeah, don't know about that one. But a S.H.I.E.L.D. Movie sounds cool, as well as Ironman 2... though, they better not mess it up like the X-men movies... -.-

The Captain American movie was already plan, when they started working on Iron Man movie.
Iron Man 2 and Thor will be release in 2010, Iron Man 2 on May 7 and Thor on July 16.
Then Captain America and the Avengers movie will come out in 2011.
The First Avenger: Captain America will be release May 6 and the Avengers movie on July 15.
With what Fury said in Iron Man movie, it was setting up other movies.
They really didn't want to have cast someone else as Fury for the other movies, because it was plan that Fury would be in the others.
Both Robert Downey Jr and Don Cheadle are to be in the Avengers movie as Tony Stark / Iron Man and Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes/War Machine.

Yeah, Iron Man was definitely setting up other movies. You can tell while you're watching it, if you know your comics enough. XD

It must be late. I honestly read that "furry" the first time around. I clicked in dread.
*whew*
Glad I read it wrong.

I am chiming in wondering what the bleep were they thinking breaking continuity casting Nick Fury as a non-white guy without an eyepatch?

Mith if I have a nightmare about Samuel L. Jackson in a fursuit I will do something unpleasant.
EDIT:

OH THANK GOODNESS! It's about time for a better Captain America movie than that steaming pile of direct-to-video crap (made by Cannon Films' offshoot 21st Century, which is very surprising). I think Samuel L. Jackson was a pretty good choice for Nick Fury in Iron Man. Jackson has had a lot of good roles in the past (Afro Samurai, Mace Windu, that guy who had it with those (censored) snakes on that (censored) plane), but Nick Fury and Samuel L. Jackson is a perfect match.

That movie inspired a music video set to a Team America song therefore it is automatic win.
