I'm actually very surprised there isn't a thread on CAA about this awesome movie. Has anyone else seen it? If you don't know, this film's about an 18-year-old from the slums of Mumbai named Jamal who gets on the Hindi version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". Jamal gets to the 1,000,000Rs (1 million rupee) question, which the producers of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" think is suspicious, and Jamal is interrogated and tortured, but all he says when he's tortured is "I knew all the answers." And so the film begins. Slumdog Millionaire is basically Jamal's life story told to the producers of the game show, up until the end. This isn't your run-of-the-mill drama film; there's something for everyone. Action, comedy, romance, musical numbers, and above all, heart. If you haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire already, see it.
By the way, this film does not (I repeat, does NOT) deserve its R rating.

It's probably in some select theaters now. If you have an opportunity to watch it, I highly recommend it.

I see no mention of people skateboarding out of crashing helicopters or buildings exploding or someone mowing down thirty people with a machine gun and then making a witty remark.
I thought you said there was something for EVERYONE. D:

Well, I apologize. Those are the only scenes Slumdog Millionaire doesn't contain. But it is a good film anyway.
