Anyone seen it?
I bought it last night, just for the heck of it, and I was VERY impressed.
SO SO good.
Anyone else seen it? If so, thoughts on it?

Omg this is out?? I wanted to see this a while back and nearly forgot about it. I believe it was only in a small amount of theatres or soemthing like that. I need to go pick it up. I've seen a few clips of it on youtube and was like... oh man I sooo gotta see this. Was not expected to be interested in anything that had Paris Hilton in it but this looked great
"And Amber Sweet is addicted to the knife
Addicted to the knife?
Addicted to the knife
And addicted to the knife she needs a little help with the agony
And a little help comes in a little glass vial in a gun pressed up against her anatomy"
Thats only part I remember... catchy song though... had it stuck in my head for a couple days... K, goes to pick this up now....

Haha oh ya. It is FABULOUS.
And surprisingly, Paris Hilton is
a) Not recognizable
b) Not in it a whole lot
c) Is SMOKING hot (mostly because she does not look like herself in the least =P )
But ya, DEFINTELY go get it.

I heard about this from a friend last semester, but I never did see it. XD It's an interesting premise for a movie, but the fact that Paris Hilton is in it gave me a bad first impression. XD Maybe I'll watch it someday, though. XD

So we happened to be in a movie mood tonight and recommended this
Finished watching it just now. I thought it was AWESOME!! If I ever got into movies and directing and stuff, I always wanted to do some kind of Gothic Heavy Metal Opera and this is probably the closest thing I'm ever gonna get to actually seeing anything close to that.
I loved Sarah Brightman's character. She looked like she walked out of the Nightmare Before Christmas or something. Good music, most of the singing was pretty good and it really wasn't the horror movie blood bath I was actually expecting. Great look, atmosphere, very stylized, loved the lighting and colors, I was surprised. Why this didn't get a wide release I'll never know cause it was certainly deserving of one. I would of loved to see this in theatres.
Definitely not for everyone though. But I guess if you like that stylized gothic look, rock music, with a little Saw and a bit of opera, it's right up your alley. I wouldn't mind getting the soundtrack to this either. Had some pretty good original tunes. But ya I loved this movie.

Ok Paris was hardly in this and you could hardly recognize her... she wasn't a strong point of the film, they really could have gotten someone better for the role but it doesn't matter, it was a small part and didn't have much to do with the main story really.
And just for anyone interested: A nice clip from the film
One of my favorite scenes.

Ah yeah, Paris Hilton is really hardly in it. And you really can't tell its her unless you're looking for it.
I love that scene too!
I'd have to say my favorite scene is the Zydrate Anatomy song, just cos its so catchy and the scene is pretty awesome.
That and the big Genetic Opera finale. Goodness. My jaw was dropped that entire time.
I'm really surprised I didn't hear a whole lot about it.
I mean, I figure just give it some time, and all the kindergoths will be all over it, just like Rocky Horror, but I really had expected to hear more about this.
-shrugs-
FABULOUS movie.
