Best Robin

Batman and Robin are a great team. The question is...which Robin is/was the best? I'm unsure myself. I like both Tim Drake and Dick Grayson. I like Tim Drake because he's got a lot of promise and he was actually able to figure out Batman and Robin's alter egos. As for Dick, well, I watched him grow from cocky sidekick to NIghtwing and trying to step out of Batman's shadow. So what about the rest of you?

When I first saw the title I went 0_o considering my user name. Can't you add me as a joke option? And as for the best Robin... I wouldn't know. I really have only seen one in a really cheesy old movie.

I prefer Tim Drake. Part of it has to do with the fact that he's younger and doesn't wear the manties, but I think it's cool that he actually has more detective skills than butt-whoop ability. I think he's a little too tortured recently, it's like all of DCU is out to ruin his already-pretty-cruddy life.

But I voted for Steph just cuz no one else would =) She's definitely the most attractive Robin.

In b4 Robin hate.

Tim Drake is the best Robin, I think. When I think "Robin" I think "Tim Drake". When I think "Nightwing" I think "Dick Grayson".

When I think "Jason Todd", I think "Oh, please just leave him dead."

To be fair, though, I haven't had any experience with Stephanie Brown being Robin.

Jason Todd was the worst. I say this because the fans actually voted for him to die. That says a lot.

I vote Stephanie but only because she's my favorite and her only purpose in "life" is to create angst for Tim Drake - which is the primary role of most, if not all, female heroes. Her stint as Robin was obvious enough, then they had to go and kill her and bring her back to life.

Dick Grayson was probably the best of the Robins, though. He brought levity to a Dark Knight and provide light and life to the comic for several decades before the 80’s brought the need for everything to be all dark and brooding.

I voted for Dick Grayson, because he was the first and because Nightwing is totally cool. XD However, Carrie Kelly is definitely my second, if not on par with the first, favorite. I loved her character in TDKR.

Red Robin? Really? He kind of sucks, even when he's not Jason Todd.

her only purpose in "life" is to create angst for Tim Drake - which is the primary role of most, if not all, female heroes.

I think she was a proper character in her own right, even as a sidekick. At any rate, one of her other roles was BFF to Batgirl, and that makes her awesome.

Honestly, I think Steph did a lot to keep the poor guy SANE, even if nowadays she's been nothing but trouble. I mean, at least while she was alive (the first time) he'd be all "Aww my life sucks waa waa well at least I have my Stephy-poo."

DONT MAKE ME PULL OUT THE MUSHY TIM X STEPH SCANS.

She also single-handedly started the most devistating gang war in Gotham City history, which is pretty epic in my book.

I liked the relationship she was building with Batgirl. There was a lot of promise there. Alas, Stephanie had to die and Batgirl, who left the only life and person she ever knew to join his enemy because, even though she had only ever been taught to fight and kill from the moment of her birth, intrinsically knew murder was wrong, had to go on a killing spree.

Totally just changed my vote. XD It makes me sad that it's been almost a week and there hasn't been a single vote for Carrie Kelly. XD Come on, she's awesome!

Sorry Corrie, but I couldn't stand Carrie Kelly. Actually TDKR was the only Frank Miller comic that I could stomach, and I still didn't like it. Anyway...I'd have to say my favorite Robin would have to be Tim Drake. He's just a good Robin, Dick Greyson was good, but better as Nightwing.

Anyway, Steph came back to life? Man, I need to catch up on my Batman comics...Seriously.

How could you not like TDKR?

"You don't get it, boy. This isn't a mudhole. It's an operating table. And I'm the surgeon."

BEST. BATMAN LINE. EVER.

It is.

More on topic, this is the greatest Robin scene ever.

BEST. BATMAN LINE. EVER.

Clearly, you haven't read All-Star Batman and Robin. EVERY line in that book is the best Batman line ever. Except I probably can't reproduce any of it here =(

Carrie Kelly

Eh, Steph could mop the floor with her. Much more satisfying strong female character.

It's not too hard. I can't speak for anyone else but all I had to do was read it.

My words exactly, honestly I've yet to read one Frank Miller comic that was actually worth my time.

I AM BATMAN!!!!"

Wow...did this bring back memories...thanks for that.

TDKR is the best graphic novel ever.

....I bounce between it and Watchmen all the time....which is also the best graphic novel ever.

I like Tim Drake as Robin.
And the Robin from Teen Titans ^^
Or wait.. I think those are both the same.. o_o

The Robin from the Teen Titans cartoon was Tim Drake. So you're being redundant.

Robin from Teen Titans cartoon was Dick Grayson..he was Nightwing in the future episode.

I guess people make the mistake because Teen Titans cartoon Robin has Tim Drake's fashion sense (or rather, relative lack of Dick Grayson's lack of fashion sense).
