New Ghostbusters film

ICv2 wrote:A new Ghostbusters film starring the key original cast members is in the works, with the first order of business a script by The Office co-executive producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, who’ve signed on to write, according to the Hollywood trades. The pair recently wrote Year One, directed by original Ghostbusters co-writer Harold Ramis.

The Ghostbusters property is due for a boost this fall when the new videogame is released, with script by Ramis and Dan Ackroyd, and voices by Ramis, Ackroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and other cast members from original film.

I am suspicious. I heard a friend mention it has a place on IMDB now with mentions of Seth Rogan or the rest of that bunch of usual suspects on board, but still... Murray specifically was very adamant about never doing this again and it'd be hard to do it without him.

I could see that the movie could be about Ghostbusters becoming a corporation that trains ghostbusters and opens offices across the country and around the World with the major stars of the first movies running the corporation and training new people. Think of Ghostbusters in Japan or Germany.
Have the Ghostbusters first headquarters turned into a museum has part of the new corporate headquarters.
Just think what a new fleet of Ecno Mobiles would look like.

That's... kind of the plot of the game, actually.

Hmm....sounds interesting. I never was a huge fan of the GB movies, though. :(
