I saw it a few years ago. It was an interesting movie - a look at slice of life in a very different culture.

One of my favorites! My favorite part is when the one daughter blasts Handel's "Israel in Egypt" at the annoying neighbors.

That scene is pure win. You could almost hear her snap as she goes to fetch the speakers. Left me screaming.

I have quite a few favorite parts in this movie, but the opening sequence with the cooking and the conversation between the dad and his friend. You could tell that they had a long standing friendship with each other, which made it all the more sad when...

[spoiler]Uncle Wo passed. Though it was a beautiful touch to have him return to the kitchen one final time. [/spoiler]
