So, I'm kind of interested in seeing this movie, because I've heard it's supposed to be good. But then I saw that it was rated R, so I'm worried about the bad content. If anyone has seen this movie, could you tell me how bad it actually is? Everything from swears to sexual content, please.

From what i remember, there wasn't any sex. and yah, i think he swears here and there... but i dont remember a LOT of swearing. It's really more about... his mind and stuff. It's a pretty awesome movie, i liked it a lot. But i saw it about a year ago, so my memory is a little foggy.
You can rent it, if it's too bad for you, you can always turn it off. ahahah.
from what i remember though, it wasn't that bad. I think it was rated R cause its kinda dark. but not EVIL dark. just...yah.
i'm not making sense. XD

It's a dark, psychological movie. It has some sexual references and a fair bit of language, some violence and drug references.

I've seen it, it was good, a bit odd at parts but good.

There's quite a bit of swearing, even in the opening scene with the family at dinner. Some sexual content (but no outright nudity or sex scenes), but there is a rather colorful conversation involving the Smurfs.
It's a good movie that's very different from most other movies I've seen. If you do go and see it, I'd recommend the theatrical cut first, and if you like it then check out the director's cut.
(Edited because Ryan's post reminded me.)

The main character almost starts masturbating when he's undergoing hypnotherapy. Nothing is really shown, though.

Thanks, everyone, for giving me the low-down! I think I might pass on this movie, for now anyway. Might watch it later.
