What are some good movies to watch on Memorial Day?
If I weren't doing anything I'd probably watch Stalag 17 or WWII: The Complete History.
The later is the awesomest of box sets that contains all available actual footage (at the time of DVD release) of WWII put together as a documentary with narration. It's truely amazing what they have footage of!

Stalag 17 is an excellent choice. Saving Private Ryan and The Longest Day are some other good (and obvious) selections. I'd also recommend Enemy at the Gates.

To End All wars is a great one to watch. It's the true story of Ernest Gordon, the story that "Bridge on the River Kwai" was inspired by (Bridge is a fictionalized account, To End All Wars is more directly based on his story)
Incredible film once you get past one of its cinematographical quirks (quick flashbacks that dont' look like flashbacks... they throw you off at first)

As I suggested in the What Movies Are You Watching thread:
*Tora!Tora!Tora!
*Stalag 17
*The Great Escape
*The Bridge Over The River Kwai
*Rommel
*Sergeant York(I don't recall if I actually mentioned it or not but it's a good classic)
*The Patriot
*The Alamo
*PT 109
*Braveheart(yeah and yeah I know really about Scottish Independence, but
since I am partly Scots and also because Mel Gibson has that great line:
"They canna take away our Freedom!")
Oh and also speaking of Memorial Day, though it isn't a movie, I would also like to mention that Season 6 of Hogan's Heroes is coming out in boxset.
