The End Of CN As We Knew It?

It's been reported that AS will be airing Saved By The Bell midnights.
Question is is Cartoon Network turning into Nickolodeon/Disney Channel now?
Another question is if they want to show a live action series during AS,why did they pick some sitcom most people didn't watch in the first place and that you can watch in any case mornings on TBS?
Instead if they were going to show a live action series than why not air something like Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon that at least has some roots in
animation?
Or do TPTB really want people to stop watching their programming and start buying and watching DVDs instead?

PLEASE tell me you're kidding! I hate that show! Never watched it, never liked it! Why are they taking away that 1/2 hour, which could be filled with anime?! Guess there's nothing left to do now except...go to sleep at midnight! Sleep...how I remember thee...
I guess it's time for plan B...::pulls out his credit card and goes to ebay::

I read on ANN that their airing of Dumb and Dumber brought in ALOT of viewers (2.3 million or something). So the trend might be starting up for you guys...
...oh BTW, I happen to like Saved By the Bell :/ It's only on odd hours here, but if it was more convenient I'd watch it.... just not the college season :/

And thus the decline of Cartoon Network continues...

I want to say that this is a really late April Fool's joke.
But I know that I'd only be kidding myself.

I won't comment on my feelings about the show, or the fact that it's live action. What I don't understand is...how is Saved by the Bell "adult"?

That IS one thing I really can't explain :/ All I know is that some channels like to stick the oldie shows on late night/early morningish though.

That's just disturbing.
And yes, how is it "Adult?" O_o

Bleh. I think Saved by the Bell belongs on Nick at Nite, not Adult Swim. Or preferably, in a dark vault where it will never be seen nor heard again. >_>

Cartoon Network showing Saved by the Bell is like MTV airing reality TV shows.
EHHHHH...

Maybe I misunderstood, but isn't this just a two-week thing? I thought they said something about that...No matter. I don't really have a huge problem with it, and though I've never watched the show, it must be better than some of their other shows (12 Oz. Mouse, anyone? Gah.). I think it's supposed to be for the viewers' nostalgia, really, since a lot of people who watch AS are in the 20-30 range. Well, whatever. I'm really unopinionated about this, it doesn't matter either way to me. *shrugs*

They can literally show anything they want thats under Turner liscensing/syndication, since being "split" from CN to list their ratings seperate (so they look better by comparison) they were also given more or less free reign over the timeslot; they could even interrupt with CNN or X-Files (from TNT on some nights)

LOL yes, it is temporary...^^; but I agree with Vernhal.. It's not a cartoon...^^; do you guys think its because AS is it's own network now? So they have free reign over thsi stuffs?
Also, I thought this was a preteen show...was I wrong?
I thought that showing Dumb and Dumber wasn't a good move, that show is so nasty, kids shouldn't see it...IMO

I think they are pulling our legs with all the Saved by the Bell hype. I browsed around on their website and clicked on a story called "AS Fans embrace SBTB"... it's very funny!
http://www.adultswim.com/williams/news/index.html?http%3A//www.adultswim.com/williams/news/articles/default.html
And if you click on a related link to upcoming episodes, you can read the descriptions of the episodes they picked... and they are SO hokey, even for SBTB. So, SURELY, they are joking....
Please, please, tell me they're joking....

As long as it doesn't interfer with the anime bloc I don't care as I watch M*A*S*H
at midnight.

Wait, so AS is starting at 6pm tonight? (Friday, April 14th)?

Uh?What gave you that idea?It's been starting at 10:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Any case the more moves like this are made the less likely I am going to be watching too much tv for any longer. It just gives me the impetus to buy more
anime DVDs,etc.

MASH is an insomniac show, and thakfully much better than Married with Children...
To be on topic... It's a joke... It has to be... Not that I care, Adult Swim is crap... i'll just wait for a few of my faves to end up on DVD, I dont' watch that lame network anymore...

yeah, but AS is a good way to test anime to see if it sparks your interest. So was AU before it disappeared.

Well at least its on the week nights so I won't have to see it because I have to get up at 5:30AM on week days and I am asleep by 11:30 PM. If they mess with Sat and Sun night then I will contact CN and give them my feelings about it.

Not a joke. Their showing it on Monday Nights, only 10 episodes. The Top 10 I guess.

I saw the comercial last night and thought they were for a different channel.... I don't like seeing live action on a cartoon station

Geez you guys act like its the end of the world or somthing. Don't watch it if you don't like it. As much as CN changes there line-up, its not somthing to give yourself ulcers over.

It isn't a joke.Fortunately it doesn't affect the anime line up only the comedy line up.
The anime line up stays as is except that Cowboy Bebop apparently will replace NGE starting this Thursday.
I think though that Ark is missing the point.
What we are objecting to is that this is a rather mediocre live sitcom that is being, temporarily, placed on a network that is supposed to be dedicated solely to
animation.
If it were Power Rangers or the live action Sailor Moon(Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon)there would be less objection on my part since they would fit in more properly.

If they put Power Rangers on AS, I think I would die. If they put it on any channel and aired it any time after 9AM, actually. XD Just...Wow.

*sigh* Of course we're going to be ticked over this. It's just another example of AS flipping the bird to its audience. This is "Booboo Goes Wild" all over again. Williams Street thinks it's being funny, but it's just being moronic. We need to tell them that, Ark. We want good shows to air, even if they're reruns. Using a tired saying like "Don't watch it if you don't like it." is meaningless whether someone's talking about this or something more sinister like pornography. We're the viewers. It's our job to tell the networks what we like and don't like. And I, personally, am really not liking CN's shifting to live-action programming.
