It surprises me that no one had posted a thread about the Torino Olympics before me. I really am enjoying it; Inoue and Baldwin are good in the couple's ice skating, but so are the Chinese skaters. I was in awe when I saw the ladies' skiing. God has really blessed these athletes immensely.
But for me, tomorrow will be the best. Shaun White will be boarding. I am in love with the flying tomato.

I'm an Olympics junkie. I'm spending the next two weeks glued to the TV.
I'm really looking forward to the halpipe myself, with it being the only event I really know anything about coming into... Shaun White is going to have some stiff competition, however.

I've only gotten to see a few minutes of the Olympics so far. It's cool stuff though. I hope to see more before it's over for another four years...

...and those next 4 years are gunna be the busiest ones of my province >_< Since Vancouver's hosting the 2010 winter Olypmics, I don't even know what's even DONE so far, but I won't be surprised if we go into debt just a little bit^^ But wasn't there talk on how Torino didn't really get set up until the VERY last minute?
As for Olypmics, I'll probably end up just watching the hockey, and all it's Canadian pride
Already I got a glimpse at the woman's totally whoping the Italians >_< 7 to nothing on period 2? Ouch! I just wonder who the gold metal will go to this year... (although I hear lots of the men are injured so not sure with that :/)

Wether or not you follow Figure Skating, you have to feel sorry for Michelle Kwan... One of the best skaters out there, but what's probably her last chance at Olympic gold is lost because of a hip injury.
Well, in happier news: the Flying Tomato qualified first and got gold in the half-pipe! His studio interview later was great... Said he'd like to meet Sasha Cohen. (And hey, who wouldn't?
)
And, you know, Curling is a really funny sport.

I'm looking forward to the Hockey games myself! Team Canada is going to rule! I saw the women's game against Italy and Russia. They beat em' 14-0 and 12-0!

Anyone notice how all three of the men's figure skating medalists fell during there program? What is with all the falls in the top six contender's long programs?
