Being a Tim Burton fan (And a NBC fan) I was excited to hear about this movie and found the previews very interesting. Has anyone seen this movie yet? If so, is it good? Or should I advoid it?

I have!
It was totally awesome, too! I actually liked it more than Nightmare, if you can believe it! Definitely a must-see, in my opinion.

I personally have a bad feeling about it. I just don't like this kind of death theme. I know, you might say it's just a kid's story, but there is something wrong with it, like Nightmare before Christmas.

Personally, this movie just weirded me out. I know it's supposed to be funny, but the whole movie I just couldn't shake the disturbing thought of how aweful it would be if the after-life were REALLY like that. It just-- *shutters* Sorry. I guess I've always been like this. Dark atmospheres like the one for this film just bother me in a way I can't explain.

I saw it twice
It was incredible, actually, it probably would've been my favorite if it was a little longer (An hour and 14 minutes??)...
I normally don't touch musicals with a 80 foot pole, but I just went out a bought the soundtrack fer this one.
My mom wasn't so fond of it though, 'guess it's an acquired taste.
The duet scene MADE the movie for me, it was so cute XD
I've never seen
The Nightmare Before Christmas , so I can't compare the two, but if it was anywhere near as good as this, I
really need to see it.

Well, like I said on the other thread, I thought it was great! Very witty, not unlike Burton's other films. I thought the comedy was very clever...You kind of had to think to understand it (or be informed on certain things), and I always enjoy movies that don't have cheap humor. The music was all very good, as was the acting, and the animation was very well done. I enjoyed it quite a bit! n.n

Oro!, it actually got excellent reviews from Christian websites. For example, Dove approved it (they're extremely picky) and only gave it a 1/5 for occult. Which is extremely low. (They gave Pokemon a 2/5 for occult.)

The seminarians were the only people laughing in the theatre because very few other people got many of the jokes.
I liked Nightmare better, but it was still a quality movie.

I've grown more tolerent if not interested in such things in small amounts, but I could also share your sentiments. I haven't seen Nightmare before Christmas and I'm not sure I'd be interested in seeing Corpse Bride.

I haven't seen the movie, but I have heard how
There is apparently an plan for the main character to commit suicide so he can marry the corpse bride
Does that really happen (as in, does the plan come to fruition?)
No, he doesn't commit suicide. The corpse bride stops him.
I saw this movie the first day it was released with my mom and one of my friends. We all liked it. Well, I loved it. ^^; I don't think it was better than NBC, which I am a huuuge fan of, but I still thought it was a great movie and I loved the animation. I actually thought the story was very touching.
To the person that said the duet scene made the movie, I loooved that scene. I thought the piano pieces were some of the best music in the movie. As far as the actual songs went though, I liked the songs in NBC better, but that still didn't ruin my enjoyment of the movie. I definitely plan to buy it when it's released on DVD!
Off topic-A random pointless fact: I was somewhat scared of Santa Claus(he still freaks me out) when I was younger, but in NBC when Jack was Santa I actually thought he made a great Santa. ^^; Of course, I do have an abiding love for Jack. I'm weird like that.

I LOVED CORPSE BRIDE!!! ^_^ but then I already am a fan of the dark and creepy...*I bought the How to draw anime Occult and horror book*. I loved the story line. It's an excellent movie! I mean...the whole thing was stop animation!!!
I mean....it's so fluid in motion I thought it was CG.....it's simply amazing! Go and see it just for the animation if nothing else.

Maybee Im just being wierd; but Im hesitant to watch it because Ive actually had nightmares about being forced into marying a Corpse, and "she" didn't look as good as the one in the movie. Psycotic I know, It made me throw up; but believe me if you had a dream like that then you would pretty hestitant to go watch it.

I do not think you are weird Wise Dragon. I'm sure if spooky stuff affected me differently *where I hate it instead of like it.* I wuld be cautious about seeing the movie after having a dream like that.
