If you mean the musical, then yes, I love it. If you mean the film, forget it.

Well, while I think it is an excellent score and story, I am not a raving drooling fanboy of the musical. I love it. Not with an exclamation point though.
And a quick note... its a school day so most people ain't gonna be repondin' too fast, 'specially considering the demographic of the board.

Yay! I am a huge fan of musical and movie. I'm glad I'm not alone!
At night he sang to me,
in dreams he came.
That voice which calls to me,
And speaks my name.
But do I dream again?
For now I find,
the Phantom of the Opera is there, inside my mind.

I didn't enjoy it too much to say the least...
But it was an intresting movie all the same!
And hopefully you won't get this topic deleted...Because it should be

I responded to the poll before I realized you were talking about the movie. I was talking about the musical.
'Twas good.

I agree, both are good. I did the poll for both, so your vote was not in vain.

Well, I am completely in love with the musical stage version, or more particularly, the Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford version (aka the original cast). I've got the highlights soundtrack, the complete coundtrack, I've read the book about 1000 times (slightly different to the musical, but still great, and very enlightening), and I know all the words to the songs.
However, I was a tad dissapointed by the movies. Don't get me wrong, I got shivers when the music started st the beginning, and the colour came in and the chandelier lifted up, and the sets and costumes and props were amazing! However I was really dissapointed with the three main characters - Raoul, Christine and the Phantom. I just don't like Raoul's hair, his voice is amazing, but as for the other two, well I guess no one really compares when you're used to the original cast.

I agree entirely. I wasn't TOO disappointed by Raoul's hair, but Michael Crawford IS the Phantom and I adore his voice so much, it's difficult to accept any substitutes. x3; The first thing I asked my mom when she told me the movie was coming out was "Is Michael Crawford gonna come back and be the Phantom!? <3"

My thoughts are that this is the totally wrong board. Next time it will be deleted.

I was told it was in the wrong board, but couldn't figure out how to move it. I'm sorry.

Well, having never seen the Broadway stage production, the movie was my first time seeing it...I was absolutely amazed. I think that Emmy Rossum (Christine Daae) has the most beautiful voice, and the rest of the cast sings and acts incredibly well. I can't even choose a favorite scene in this movie; I love the whole thing! When I saw it the first time, I wanted to clap at the end of "Think of Me." I nearly forgot I was in a movie theater! <<^_^' I'm sure the Broadway production is magnificent, and I really want to see it, but for now, I'll have to settle for the film. Hey, even if it is second best, it's still top-notch entertainment in my book! ^_^ My cell phone ringtone is actually Gerard Butler singing "The Pha-a-a-antom of the Opera is there....Inside your mind!" XD Sugoi...Sugoi!

I completely agree! When "Think of me" was over, I clapped enthusiasically and my friends stared at me strangely.
Sing once again with me,
Our strange duet.
And though you turn from me,
to glance behind.
The Phantom of the opera is there. Inside your mind
