This is a real Blockbuster in Japan, has anyone on this board heard of it? or even beter...seen it?

i currently own the movie...and it has to be one of my favorites. =D

the movie is based on an old anime called "Casshan: Robot Hunter" I believe ADV films has taken the liberty to dub it.

the movie itself is very anime-ish. i believe it was done on purpose. (think spiderman)

THE BEST PART OF ALL IS THAT I FOUND OUT RECENTLY IS COMMING TO AMERICAN THEATERS!!! X3

The name sounsds familliar, but i've never seen it though. It looks cool and I can't wait for it to come out here (just hope they don't dub it =_= )

it WONT be dubbed. they dont have enough time to dub it if its comming out this year...

the japanese version already has subtitles in english. so im going to assume that that is what will be used.

remember the passion was subtitled...i dun think that america has a problem with subtitled movies...

blockbuster? I dont know about that, it was voted the second worst movie of 2004, though that is by critics who think they know everything.
I sure did like it but some still complain its just a promotional video for Hikaru Utada since it was directed by her husband.

It looks cool, but I've never heard of it until now. Do you think it would come to America?

the original yahoo article sems to have disappeared, it doesnt seem the movie stayed high on the box office list for very long either.

I'll go see it just to support Japanese films in America. that's if stupid Oklahoma theatres will pick the thing up.

my friend has been showing me trailers of this for a while, its looks pretty cool, i wanna see what its like.

i actually didnt think utada hikaru was even noticeble in the movie...but her song was probably pushed alot more in japan. ^^;

personally...i dun like utada hikaru. (i do <3 shiina ringo's song in the movie...even if it be 10 seconds of it...v_v; )

anyways...thank you for bringing the article to my attention. (was it refereing to worst movies made in japan brought to america...or worst movies in japan...i could not tell...i tried to look it up myself but i did not have much luck.)

^^; i didnt come up with the term blockbuster in japan myself...i got it from a review i read somewhere...when i find it ill post it.

it said it was a review by judges...not a vote by the people...interesting...

anyways...there was alot of the movie that could have been changed to make the visual effects look better. XD but im a girl...and i usually dont focus on "action" scenes. for me...its all about the storyline...the drama...the romance. XP v_v;

I'm a huge fan of the Casshan OVA. I own it!

This looks great, and I hope the battle between Tetsuya and BK-1 is as good as the one in the anime.

(And maybe they'll leave in the awkward line: "Defend yourself, tyrant!!")
