more than likely, you are. while South Park is sometimes funny and makes a lot of good points, it's also pretty darn crude. sometimes I like to watch it but not very often.

Seen one episode. Payed out Jesus big time. Not good. Never went back again.
Family Guy is better. A little crude (nowhere near as much a South Park) and a lot cleverer.

Seriously mate, we should consider what we watch. I don't want to flame you but I don't appreciate how you tell others on the boards they aren't proper Christians when they watch/read "blah blah". And yet you are an avid South Park fan! Sorry I see no difference.

Not at all. I saw one episode and personally, it was immature and not at all funny in my humble opinion. I prefer to substitute that with The Family Guy, The Simpsons, or Futurama. Not that best shows but alot more cleaner than South Park.

**** I thought I'd get more of the "South Park is immature humor" kind of people

1. Watch your mouth.
2. If this was a deliberate troll, you're on really thin ice. The no-trolling rule applies to new and old members alike, period, so this had better not have been one.

The thing is people think it's mature cause it contains "mature" meaning "adult" oriented topics however that is niot the case. Just cause you go off saying every single cuss word in the book as well as having grotuesque violence does not make it "mature" but "immature". And to be frank, it makes the series look more idiotic cause of it's content.

Personaly I cannot stand the brothers who make the show...I find them to be scum of the earth.

South Park has got to be the funniest show on earth. Nothing comes close to it

I admit, it can be funny once in a while. But the content is so filthy that it makes me sick to the stomach. Seriously! Now don't get all on me just cause it's "reality" or anything. I don't live in that reality, so why would I want to aquaint myself with it at such an age?

P.S. to Shatterheart: PREACH IT!

P.P.S. to kaemmerite: Yes, love those shows! Good alternatives. Zim rules!

*Coughs*

South Park is hilarious, don't get me wrong...

But Family Guy and Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Invader Zim are all three about ten times funnier.

Than again, I don't watch much t.v. per say. Most of my "t.v." time is spent wtching anime mostly on my laptop (the wuality is much better on it). The time I really turn on the t.v. is to watch Fox News or Adult Swim or Teen Titans really...or to catch a football game.

Mystery Science Thearer...Invader Zim... *heart eyes* I could watch those shows all day.

I watched it for awhile. I was troubled by some aspects like how they treated Jesus and the devil. I thought the movie was really kind of excessive. Hearing the uncensored stuff kind of killed the novelty of the show when going back to the bleeped stuff on TV. I quit when we got to the "Starvin' Marvin in Space" episode because I thought they went from parody to just offensive. Haven't seen it since.

Of course, I *did* enjoy their Team America last year.

I've always enjoyed a bad taste joke, which is probably not something I should be doing as a Christian.

I was once asked by a religious person who was a generation ahead of me what I would say if Jesus came back and saw me watching my programs. My response was "Probably 'Oh, @#$%!'"

Still the person had a point. What could I say in my defense when watching The Ping Pong Club or reading Heartbroken Angels? (Definitely NOT recommended to you guys BTW).

Yeah, I don't know if any Christian should call themselves a "rabbid fan" of something as obscene as South Park...
And no, I'm not saying your some evil sinner. :) Just sayin' that I would watch what you watch... :eh:
Anyhoo, So long and take it easy guys!

I don't think God enjoys things that are filthy like that, do you? Didn't think so.

I find it funny sometimes, but not enough to watch. There have been some really funny episodes, but I still don't think it's that good.

Humor is entirely relative. Hence, it is impossible for any one thing, show or otherwise, to be the most humorous. Some people, for example, stop laughing the instant they hear any offensive language. For others, it is other things. And some people simply have a strange sense of humor.

In this thread, though, I doubt anyone will find obscenity funny. So let's try to keep it as civil as possible.

I wouldn't go as far as call them scum. They humour might just not fit your taste. I myself do not watch South Park that often but when I do I keep in mind that this is just a piece of fiction and treat it as such. Sure, some things may be way overboard (rated 16+ here) but sometimes they have a point; let's take that Jesus guy as example: He's there because the creators wanted to make fun of the people who go to talk shows and tell the world that they are the 'real Jesus'. They tend to exaggerate things to make it more obvious because exaggerating is a good way to provoke thoughts and point to things you are not content with (you did that as well by saying 'I find them to be scum of the earth.' so you should know what I'm talking about ;) )

Take the series with a grain of salt.

To bad everyone can't take Napoleon Dynamites language example.

South Park would be alot more enjoyable if they said "idiot!" and "what the flip" every single time in place for a bad word.

One of the funniest ones was "It hits the Fan" when they said s*** uncensored. They said it 162 times. It was hilarious, the whole messages was that swearing shgould be used for extreme uncontrollable situations unless you want the apocalypse brought onto the world by having a giant dragon rise and blow up stuff. Still funny none the less

Also there was the one with Mr. "Jefferson" that was a classic also
