I loved this movie... So, this makes 2 out of 3 Kate Winslet movies that I thought were good... Since I've seen 3, that is.

Ignoring that, this movie was the story of the man who created Peter Pan. He got the ispiration from befriending a widow and her children. His imagination and escapism caused problems between he and his wife, and his friendship with that family, particularly the boy Peter, was the basis for horrible rumors, but he had a knack for seeing things as a child.

Much of the movie is about seeing things through his mind's eye. I loved the sequences of him escaping to the world he had created, and also getting the grieving peter to do the same, pulling him out of his shell as it were. It is a bit sad, but this is an excelent, if a bit quirky, drama.

Anyone else see it? It stars Johny Depp and... Oh, wait, where'd all the girls go... Oh... Probably watching it now... So, for the guys left over, it also stars Kate Winslet. I prefer her with blue hair to her victorian haircut, but what can I really say? *sigh* Anyhow, I would suggest this to anyone who can handle drama.

I made a thread about this movie ages ago (I saw it at Thanksgiving) and I was so sad when no one had seen it. I'm thrilled that other people loved it as much as I did.

I hope this movie get SOME Oscar. It probably won't, but I'll have my fingers crossed anyways.

I thought the movie was incredible, but I'm a big Peter Pan fan so I'm biased. My favorite parts were the portions of the movie that were taking place in the boys' imaginations. So. darn. funny.

I thought it looked interesting... for a while I've been debating to see it or not, just wasn't sure. Like you Mangafanatic, I'm a peter pan fan so I may end up being biased one this one as well. Perhaps I should give this a looking into someday. Thanks for the recommendation.
