Rumor about Yu-Gi-Oh Live Action movie

Postby Heart of Sword » Sat Aug 07, 2004 8:01 am

I've seen some rumors in magazines about a YGO live-action...that would be very, very odd...is this true? Supposedly that kid on Agent Cody Banks is going to play Yugi, and that guy who played Ace Ventura is going to be Joey...

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

i agree, bakura_fan, a live action movie would kill all the characters, you can replace an anime one with a real person.

Jim Carrey would never lower himself to that level your info has to be wrong. And there should never ever be live action anime movies they just don't work.

That's what the magazine said...info couldn't have been wrong, it was an official magazine. He's one of the actors that MIGHT play as Joey. I don't think he knows abuot it though. Yeah live action Anime is crummy but oh well...*snickers*

So instead of watching animated characters play magic the gathering for 22 minutes, we can watch real kids playing for an hour and a half!!

I actually would be very interested in a YGO live action film, however, I don't really think Jim Carrey would be a good candidate for Joey, his humor would be a little too mature.

PS: I wasn't being sarcastic when I said I would be interested in seeing YGO go live action either. ^_^

Besides the fact that this thread is 4 years old, I would love to see the Yu Gi Oh: The Abridged Series rip-off of a live action Yu Gi Oh movie.

I'd say something about CAA's trap card not allowing threads to be returned from the graveyard, but...
