Here's a documentary short feature to look out for. I haven't seen it myself but it looks interesting.
There's not a lot of love on this board for the Walt Disney Company (best reason probably the whole Winnie the Pooh debacle) but there is no denying that the company has created some pretty good movies over the years as well as some stupid ones. More than usual in the last five years when the Disney ship slowly began sinking and the only outlet of the company was Pixar, which is strictly speaking a different company.
Over the last three years all of the Disney feature animators were laid off from their job or moved to TV unit as Disney abandons about seven or eight decades of tradition hand-drawn animation in favor of 3D computer animation and recycling old assets instead of trying to keep to tradition. This documentary, Dream on Silly Dream talks with the jobless animators while animating some of the footage, making it sort of an animated documentary.
What strikes me (if the review linked below can be believed) is that the short documentary does not try to be bitter but casual. It looks like it might be worth seeking out.
