Bourne Idenity vs Supremecy
Anyone here seen both films? I gotta say I loved the first movie...I never really care for Matt Damon in films but I enjoyed the first...the second I felt...I felt like it was forced. It had none of the feeling the first movie had. And they blew a chance to really show emotional depth when [SPOILER]His girlfriend is shot...I mean heck he showed hardly any emotion about it[/SPOILER] I just did not enjoy Supremecy much at all...anyone else feel let down or did you enjoy the second film?

Yeah, I was a little let down, but I still thought it was good. I liked the first one much better.

I've seen both, but I was more than a bit disappointed in Supermacy too. And I despise Matt Damon in anything else (i.e. Good Will Hunting = yucky).
I think there was just something lacking in the second one. The first one had you constantly guessing, trying to figure out who Jason Bourne was and treadstone, etc. The second one seemed just bland and uninspired. I wish they would have skipped Supremacy and gone straight to Ultimatium (the movies are based on a book series by Robert Ludlum, Ultimatium is #3). I have not read the series (they're all like, 900 pages long each) but from the summaries I have seen, #3 seems to be a fitting sequel. However, I highly doubt anything can really be a good sequel for the awesomeness that was Identity.
Plus, didn't it bug anyone else his girlfriend in the second movie looked NOTHING like she did in the first? O.o

Meh...I didn't care much for Identity. It kinda seemed to me to be like "The Replacement Killers," only the guy didn't know who he was. It was okay, but not great.
I liked Supremacy though, but I agree with what you said in the spoiler tag, Shatterheart. I was like..."Come on, he'd be angrier and sadder than that, I think." Very enjoyable, and as good as the first one, I'd say...though since I didn't think much of the first one, it isn't that difficult. ^^;;

Anna Franke (I believe), played the girlfriend both times, same person.
But movies rocked, I just happend to watch it today. Its not that the sequl is worse or better, they are both equally good.
OH, and when Borne walks into the Berlin Ostbahnhof,... I've been there and recognised it. I waited at that circular tree thing with the red in the background. That was cool.

I saw Supremecy first - and Identity a couple of days after - I enjoyed the latter much more. I didn't really get into the second movie as much, and it was more about happenings than the guessing and twisting of the first. Plus, I enjoyed the character of Bourne more in the first one.
Still, I think both of them were good action movies - it's just for me the first eclipsed the second, even though I knew some of the main twists from having watched Supremecy before Identity.

I really like both of them; Supremacy wasn't a disappointment to me. The only thing that bugged me about the second movie was that the girl Julia Stiles plays seems a lot less efficient and more...not annoying exactly, just not as cool and collected I guess. I don't know, she just seemed cooler in the first movie and in the second one she was not in control seeming. Can you tell that I'm having a hard time explaining it? I'll just leave it for now.
Anyways, it seemed to me that he wasn't really given a chance to mourn for her because he had to move quickly or be killed and also the sorrow was overtaken by the anger he felt. So far it seems like I'm the only one here that feels that way though o_o Another reason why that might have happened was because [spoiler] in the third book, Jason finds out he has a wife and children.[/spoiler] I haven't read the books, but I plan on getting to it this summer maybe when I have time. The people I babysit for sometimes had the Bourne Ultimatum on their shelf and on one of the flaps it said the stuff that's in the spoiler tag. I don't know if they'll put that in the movie though.

ooh...I saw both movies over the weekend. I agree with those who say the second was lacking. In action? no...in fact, that car chase at the end of Supremacy felt over the top to me. But the second lacked something....can't really put my finger on it. I think they could have enhanced the plot greatly by giving more attention to internal conflict(flashbacks don't do it 
) and the search for who he was. i dunno....like i said, I"m not sure WHAT it was missing that I felt in the first movie. *shrug*
Not to say I didn't love both. *did!* It's just that I become movie-critic sometimes LoL. oh well. anyways...yeah, it's cool to see a topic on this now when i'm thinking about such things.
