You can stream it on Netflix. I've been trying to watch it, but I honestly get really sleepy while watching it.

I think as Christians we often view all sexual content in entertainment as intrinsically evil. But it's not. What isn't good, is when sex is demeaned, whether that's through making men/women sex objects or gratuitous scenes. I understand perfectly that we don't want these but not all sexual content falls under these categories. Just saying.

The problem I have with sex scenes in movies or whatever is where my mind goes when I see it. That's probably dependent on who you are, but if images make you think about sinful things, that's just as much sin as doing it yourself, right? That's the problem I had with Inara's scenes. (And the lesbian one...is something I'd rather erase from my memory forever >_>)

I must say, though, Morena Baccarin is one of the few TV/movie actresses I've seen who's actually pretty. Scratch that, she's beautiful. Lots of big actresses just look so made-over and ugly despite every attempt to make them beautiful, but she was truly lovely. And I still can't get over her voice! It was so fluid and smooth.... She would make a great voice actress, I think - but then you'd miss her beautiful face....

Gotta give it time to pick up. I think once you get to the episode "A Human Reaction" it really starts to get good and "Nerve/The Hidden Memory" really begins the story arch that carries over through the rest of the series.

I didn't think it was the Best Show Ever, but I thought it was enjoyable for its snappy dialog and worth the time it takes to watch (if one is okay with its content). And it makes me happy whenever they reference the show in Castle (such as the Halloween episode when he dresses up as a space cowboy).

I liked Cowboy Bebop better, though.

I personally like Firefly a good deal more than Cowboy Bebop. Granted, it's been several years since I've seen Bebop, so I'm not sure how much I like it anymore.

That would make sense lol I saw a lot of Cowboy bebop in Firefly, which I loved. Sense Cowboy bebop is my favorite anime.

I remember reading it on TVTropes, which I deemed a fairly trustworthy source, since it began as a Buffy fansite.
