I can't figure out how to wipe my laptop. I want to erase everything on it, and start from scratch; it has its own self-restoration initiative built into it, so that is no problem. I simply do not know how to make it clear itself off. Anyone know how?

If you're installing a new OS from a CD or something, there may be a partition editor you can use during installation, or an option, which you can use to remove the partitions on your hard drive. It won't technically erase it, just overwrite it, but unless you're planning on having the FBI scan your hard drive it won't matter. :)

What I mean by wiping is resetting it to the state it was in on day one. I don't have a new OS to install; I simply want to reset the computer from scratch. It will erase a large chunk of the data, as it has to clear up disc space.

Try going through the self-restore thing. It'll probably clear it off for you.
