Need a comic hosting site.

A group of my friends and I on another forum are trying to create a webcomic. We're nearly finished with the ideas and I ALMOST got our artist to sketch us up our characters. <_< So I was wondering... Perhaps some of you know of a free webcomic hosting site? It's never gonna get out there without a site to host it.

You could try
Comic Genesis, the new name for KeenSpace. It's free, supported by an ad banner.

Have you considered Ottercomics? Oren IS looking for other artists you know...

Wish I could help you there but I can't draw worth anything. I got someone else doing the art for my comic.

I meant he was looking for more comics, BY OTHER PEOPLE to go on Ottercomics, the fact that he is ALSO looking for an inker is a totally seperate matter.

My friends and I did Comic Genesis back in the day, and I still read a few strips on there. The only problems I had with it were slow downloading and a directory so stuffed full of wanna-be's that nobody would ever bother browsing it. Neither makes it a bad place to make a beginning in web comics.

I realize I'm a bit late to reply on this thread, but since I do know of a place, I thought I should mention it...
Have you heard of Smackjeeves? That's where I have my comic posted, called "Work in Progress".

So far, out of all the sites I've disacovered, SmackJeeves does seem like the best. I don't like the language though they use in their content guidelines. Is it an easy hosting site to use?

Like dyzzispell said,
I'd recommend
http://www.Smackjeeves.com.
I have my own web comic "Anything But Ordinary" posted there (though I haven't updated it in a while sadly) it's site is really easy to use and there's a nice selection of templates already made if you don't know how to make your own from scratch (like me -^^-).
Hope that helps.

Shameless plug. XD
If you have a host already, and just want an easy way to link up jpegs, you might consider something I wrote a few years back...
http://www.flactem.com/index.php?action=mangaviewI honestly don't know if those links work anymore, but you're welcome to try them out! XD

Smackjeeves question - can you upload more than one comic?
@dizzyspell: your comic looks so nice! I like the art <3

i would ask blitzkrieg about the site that he hosts his webcomic "Far Out There." And there's always deviantart.
