I'm trying out Opera right now. I like it a lot. Thoughh it lacks spelcheck.

Just curious, which browser do you prefer?

Opera is crazy fast. However I have had some problems with it mixing with Javascript. Nowadays I tend to use the new I.E or Firefox.

I use Firefox, though I've thought about switching to Camino. I'm really too used to the Firefox interface, though, so I doubt I'll be switching anytime soon. XD

I use ManlyAwesomeBrowser. Because it's awesome. And manly. But mostly a web browser. With a search function that kicks you in the face.

Everyone should use it.

Whoa, you haven't? I have. I've thought about using it before, but I'm pretty sure it would punch me through my monitor. It's an undeniably incredible browser, though.

Nothing shows up in Google about it...

You think Google can tell you about MAB? No no. Google isn't big enough to handle ManlyAwesomeBrowser. It would shut down their systems in a day.

Opera wins undeniably.

Although I have recently found that Opera 9.23 + Vista = bad.
9.24 is much better.

I use Netscape, but I voted for Internet Explorer.

I am a Camino user. I find that being developed in Cocoa is a large plus for any OS X app.

Like most people, Firefox. It is a mix of the things I care about: low-cache browsing, decent pop-up blocking, and integrated spellcheck.

lynx

IE6

Oh, and you can install Aspell to get spell checking in Opera. See this link (opera.com).

I used to be a Camino user. I couldn't tell much of a difference between the two besides that Camino is more geared towards "Working with OS X".

I just use Firefox.

I just got Firefox last night, and aside from a small problem with no horizontal scrollbar, it's pretty nice. I'm thinking of trying out Opera and Marathon though, and Camino since I've jsut now heard of it.

Can anyone give me a brief compare/contrast of FF, Opera, Marathon and Camino? I'd rather not take the time to download and test every single one of them.

Do you use lynx when you browse CAA?

I briefly tried Camino about two years ago, and I haven't tried/heard of Marathon, so I can't comment on those.
Opera has superior handling of tabs. That's the main reason I like it. You can save/restore tab sessions. Jump between previous tabs visited by right click-scroll. Go the tab to the left/right with 1/2. It handles passwords nicely too. Speed Dial is a nice feature (new tab has nine quick preset sites). Proxy switching is nice and quick (if you need to use it). There's probably much more that I can't think of right now...

I use Firefox... have for a long time. I tried others, but I am too used to it now, and I never have had problems with it, like I did back with IE. Opera is pretty good though... I have it on my computer, just don't use it unless I am making a webpage for someone or something... so I can check it in different browsers.

Firefox beats IE up one side and down the other. So does Chuck Norris. :D

Firefox is nice in that it has a plethora of extensions for you to use. Camino, in contrast, doesn't have that, so that is one of its large weaknesses. Otherwise, it's strengths lie in the fact that it's developed in Cocoa, so it has access to OS X specific APIs as well as having a consistent visual look with the rest of the system. It also might be faster because of the native interface (rather than XUL), but that might be because I had a lot of extensions with Firefox that I don't have with Camino. Overall, I found it nice and lightweight.
