Every time I start up my computer, there seems to be a folder that pops up, but it's not one of the things in Start Up.There's a folder that consist of nothing and then this thing called Ysuggest or something like that. It has something to do with DLL. Which I have been told stands for Direct Link Library.. or was that Direct Library Link o_O? Anyway, I have no clue what it is. When I clicky one the Icon thingy a message pops up. Something about it being used for Operating Systems or something like that o_O I guess my question is,"What is it and how do I get rid of it?"

Ooh, and I've been having trouble with YIM a lot as of late. I have the newest version, but it still refuses to cooperate with me u_u Any suggestions o.o?

NOTE: Please note that this post is made at 3:21am (give or take a minute or two.. or 8), so please don't mind the spelling mistakes ^__^

I would run a virus scan, from safe mode, if can find a virus scan that runs from a boot disk I'd run that.

Dude no offense but thats about like speaking greek to the poor girl.

Translation:

Turn your computer off,

Wait a few seconds

Turn it back on.

When the screen comes up press F8 till a menu comes up.

It should have an option that says "Boot in Safe mode" or just "Safe Mode"
Note: Don't select the "Safe Mode with Networking" one.

Move the arrow keys and select the Safe mode option.

It will look diffrent but once its booted run your anti-virus and do a full scan.

As far as the boot disk option, that ones out of her league. She should go for the safe mode scan.

Sorry  I forgot about doing that one XD

Searching on YSUGGEST yields no interesting results. It's possible that it is part og YIM since you've been having trouble lately. You may want to re-install it.

DLL stands for Dynamic Linked Library, by the way. DLL's are the foundation of your operating system (although not all DLL's are poart of the OS)

DLLs have code in them that several programs share, so that they don't need to duplicate that piece of code.

I could suggest going to Start -> Run, then type in 'msconfig' (or 'msconfig32'?) but without the quotes. Then see if there's anything interesting in the Startup tab which may be causing it (but it may take a bit of experience for anything in that list to make sense..).
Could you be more specific? Could you take down the exact folder that pops up, and see if there's anything in that list that matches it?

Thank you so much for all of your suggestions *bow*. Yeah, someone suggested that it may have something to do with my YIM problems. I wonder if the others (who's been having YIM problems) have this folder popping up out of nowhere o_O?

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions (sorry if I don't seem social. Just a lot going on right now) ^__^
