On certain programs I try to run, the screen blinks out into a low resolution and low color scheme, with a warning window saying something like "cannot detect ialmrnt5 driver, please save progress and reboot" or such.
I reboot, and everything works fine, but I'm curious as to know what this is and if it's a serious problem.

a simple google search led me to come to some guesses
1) you got this error while trying to play WoW or maybe some other game that makes use of a seperate graphics card or accelerator.
2) your using an Intel graphics accelerator which is missing this driver
I actually might be off a bit as i only skimmed the page I got. Apparently I can't give any more valid data as then it gets into different chipsets, I might be able to dig deeper if you can tell me what Intel chipset your using. You might also wanna read up on the topic yourself if this sounds anything close to the problem you seem to be having
