email issues

Postby Mr. Rogers » Sat Oct 07, 2006 11:10 am

I am working on a few websites for someone. We recently changed the DNS addresses to point to a new server, now none of the email works. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You have to update you MX record to point to the new server. Your new DNS provider should be able to help you track down the issue. Make sure your new server is able to handle email, as well.

I don't mean this in a snide way at all, but if you don't know what an MX record is, you may have a hard time doing this yourself. I'd really recommend contacting your new DNS provider (by phone if possible) and seing if you can get help from them.
