How do I get rid of some of the engines in the drop-down menu?

Bitte! And while you're at it, check out all the other fantastic Extensions available for Firefox if you have not already done so. NoScript alone is awesome (blocks java and other scripts, allowing only the sites you want to be able to run them
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/722/ ).

Thanks for that particular heads-up.
There are so many goodies for Firefox it's sort of overwhelming!

i would also reccomend Adblock Plus and Filterset G (i get like 0 ads anywhere), you can probably just search for it on the extentions site
as well as rite of tongue (spelling suggestions quick)
InfoRSS (rss ticker)
and tab mix plus (a ton of customizations for the tabs)

More good ones. Maybe we should make a thread for good Firefox extensions?
