does anyone know where I can get a free, full version of a macromedia flash mx/studio thingy? a friend of mine told me to downlad it from a thing called limeware, but all of them won't work because my AVG Anti-Virus says that it has a virus. please help me

That's illegal, actually. If you want the software, you'll have to pay for it.

LimeWire is a P2P product, so what you'd be downloading is a pirated copy of Macromedia Flash. That would be bad. I'm not sure what to say about the virus bit, other than AVG may be programmed to complain about LimeWire being a *source* of viruses.

I'm sure there's an open-source alternative to Flash, or you might try something that can generate SVG files. I just don't know of any in the former category (I bought Flash MX and paid the cash, so ...).

Or, if you work for a company that does a lot of graphics stuff, theres a chance they might buy it for you (that's how i got mine)

well, is there a free alternative for making flash games/movies? or at least one that's less than $100?

I don't know of an open-source alternative (for all my knowledge is worth), but for about 100 you can get Swishmax. http://www.swishzone.com/ I've used it to make a few things, but ended up upgrading to Flash MX because I needed more power XD; Swish is much easier to learn, imho.
