Help!!!!!

Alright, I have a problem with my computer, but a bigger problem is that I don't know what it is. :bang:

I used to post a good bit on this cite, but I have not recently because, on my home computer, i cannot seem to load up pages, not just on this site, but others as well. On this site, it tells me it has loaded it up (the little thing on the bottem says "Done") and on other sites it starts to load up the page but hardly ever finishes.

Basically, my internet activites have been limited to im and email, and it takes me 20 minutes to load up my email, and my im is always slow. My service has always been slow ( I have aol 9.0 optimized and a 28k dial-up connection), but now the internet is practically unusable. The weird thing is my other family members don't seem to have this problem, but I do use the internet at home more than any other member (my dad is really the only other one who does more than email, but he uses the computers at work).

So anyone know what my problem may be and how to fix it? Any guesses would be nice and ASAP (i'm at an uncles house right now, and once i go home I may not be able to check the answers! so if you want to you can use the email address that i put in this website, just make sure the title says your CAA name and that you are emailing me about the problem i posted on CAA or else i will just delete it)

PLEASE HELP!!! I can't do anything online practically. Thanks to all who can help. :thumb:

could be one of the few reasons:

1. SPYWARE/ADWARE
get removal tools such as ad-aware or spybot: search and destroy.

2. Could be AOL's browser...
AOL's browser... is probably a WHOLE lot worse then internet explorer

3. also the fact that you are on dialup could be a reason

other then that... i dunno

AOL's Browser *IS* internet explorer. Or at least based on it. If you are using AOL's browser, get something else. Anything.

How old is the computer? If it's really old, it could just be that the machine can't handle newer technology.

If you ever get back online, let us know what you found out, OK?
