You'll have to send the laptop out to a repair centre. At my company, we have screens break every so often, and we just send them to the manufacturer to repair. I think it costs us about $400 to get the screen fixed. (plus we start feeling like moving away from the HP laptops we have - but that's another discussion)
If you have any important files on the laptop, you may want to remove the hard drive before you send it in. Otherwise, they may decide to just re-image the drive to factory spec. (we pull the drives on all the laptops we send in for repair)
