I was looking for a description. I did visit the site, but I didn't happen to notice an "about" button.

It's hard to fully explain of what tumblr is without giving a link to the site and letting people explore (which I hope someone benefited from, at least).

Tumblr = Massive hot-linking site to "reblog" tons and tons of different things (pictures, soundbytes, text, etc) from popular culture, to politics, to some dude tipping his cowboy hat while riding a tracker. You can also choose to upload your own images and put them on your Tumblr blog as well as follow your friends, family, and various celebrities/musicians that use Tumblr. The possibilities are endless.
Also, I should mention you can also use tumblr as an online journal much like various other sites, for example: livejournal.com, xanga.com, blogspot,com, etc, etc.
Hopefully, that cleared some things up for you! ^_^

Yeah, Tumblr is basically a blog where you can just post your artwork, general thoughts, funny pictures, etc.

Ever since I changed my password, forgot it, and my iPhone app for Tumblr stopped working, I decided to (for now) retire my Tumblr. I will miss being able to reblog like there's no tomorrow, but I don't wanna have to be glued to my seat to do this at the computer (if I can even log in with my new Opera browser and all.)

You can reset your password rather easily for tumblr (or any site) if you forget it. But it may be nice to take a break from it. ^_^
