Death Beckons

This is a poem that I wrote in my British Literature class when we were reading the Cantebury Tales. We were supposed to work in groups of two but my partner never showed up so I wrote it by myself.
Death Beckons:
Once there lived a man who was rather spry,
He would dance and laugh and leap up high.
He lived life to the fullest, every last second,
But after awhile Death started to beckon.
“Why is life worth living?â€
